The Hug Glove® is a Personal Protective Shield (PPS) product that introduces a barrier between two people and allows them to hug and visit with each other. The Hug Glove® hangs within a doorframe using adhesive hook & loop fasteners and is comprised of three components:
1. PVC plastic sheeting across the top, permitting the huggers to see each other. The plastic should be disinfected between hugs with a Health Canada approved hard-surface disinfectant;
2. Level 3 reusable isolation gown material across the bottom with two sets of enclosed sleeves; and
3. Hook & loop fasteners joining the gown material with the plastic sheeting, enabling the gown to be removed and laundered between hugs.
The combined effect of the Hug Glove®is an oversized isolation gown attached to a large face shield.
Intended Use: The Hug Glove®is a full body Personal Protective Shield (PPS), intended to encourage two people to embrace with confidence. The Hug Glove® must be secured on a solid doorframe and is intended to provide a barrier between two individuals while they embrace. When using the Hug Glove®, all users are encouraged to wear a Health Canada approved facemask and follow the current Public Health requirements in the user’s jurisdiction.

The Hug Glove®
Follow these instructions to maintain effectiveness of the product.
Clear Plastic Sheeting: (100% PVC - polyvinyl chloride)
Clean on both sides of plastic sheeting after each use.
Wear a mask and disposable gloves when cleaning.
Wash gently with mild soap and water using a soft cloth or sponge.
Rinse with clean water.
Dry with soft towel.
Wipes containing 70% isopropyl alcohol may also be used. Antibacterial/Disinfectant wipes could leave a residue.
Most household glass/window cleaners contain ammonia and will damage plastic sheeting.
WARNING: DO NOT USE AMMONIA OR BLEACH. DO NOT PUT PLASTIC IN DRYER.
Yellow Gown Material: (99% Polyester/1% Carbon Fibre)
WASHING INSTRUCTIONS:
Launder after each use.
Use a standard detergent.
Avoid detergents formulated for deep stain removal.
Wash in a domestic or commercial washing machine.
Use hot water not exceeding 60°C (140°F).
Use the delicate / permanent-press setting.
WARNING: DO NOT USE AMMONIA OR BLEACH. DO NOT DRY CLEAN.
DRYING INSTRUCTIONS:
Tumble dry in a conventional dryer.
Use low heat not exceeding 50°C (122°F).
Use the delicate / permanent-press setting.
The gown material may also be dried by hanging on a clothesline.
WARNING: DO NOT IRON OR PRESS.
STORAGE of the Hug Glove® :
Do not store in an extreme cold, hot or damp environment.
Lay plastic sheeting flat or loosely roll it up for storage.
Avoid storing the plastic sheeting folded for long periods of time in order to prevent creasing.
